Welcome to JungleDread

This site is a showcase of my temporary dreadlocks and felted creations.

Everything I create is hand made from Australian Marino wool. I’m always experimenting with new ideas and techniques so if you have any suggestions or would like to place a custom order please contact me. – Jane

New Zealand

We’re back from New Zealand, and had a fabulous refreshing trip away.

Had a chat with the lovely people at the Christchurch Spinners & Weavers Guild, played around with the different spinning wheels at Ashford, and picked up a whole lot of woolly goodies from all over.

The landscape was simply breathtaking!

JungleDread are going on a trip to New Zealand!
This means that we won’t be taking any new orders, projects, etc, until the 7th of April ‘09
. . . . . . . and no, this isn’t an April fools joke ;)

We’ll be checking out the fibers found in the South Island of NZ

Over the last few months I’ve been getting nice & friendly with a spinning wheel.

Yes, a spinning wheel. That medieval tool heard about in fairy tales.

As well as 2ply yarn, I’ve been creating some large yarn. Large in size, and personality ;)
